Marcio Holanda was born and began his career in Belém in the Brazilian Amazon, when he completed his studies in Communications at the Universidade da Amazonia. Ten years ago he moved to São Paulo to work in digital media while he was studying as a master in Graphic Design at the Senac Institute.
Marcio’s biggest growth began almost eight years ago when he joined Ogilvy Interactive to work with clients including Motorola, American Express, Nextel, Unilever, Terra and Banco do Brasil. Then the great moment happened in 2004 when his work for Graacc won Gold at Cannes Lions. This advert and others resulted in awards at the London International Awards, The One Show and the Art Directors Club of New York.
One year later, Marcio began his international career. First he moved to Ogilvy Mexico, where he worked for two years on American Express, Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Volvo and Microsoft for the Latin American market. Then his next challenge was working on European marketing in Italy, where he moved three years ago to gain new knowledge while creating business solutions for IBM, Amex, Alitalia and Ferrero (also, business to Ogilvy). In December 2010, Marcio was invited to join at the Eurobest Jury to Interactive & Mobile category, happend in Hamburg, German.
Marcio speaks portuguese, italian, spanish and english. As well as enjoying the good food and wine in Italy, he is a gadget lover.
